Living room remodel

This remodel happened a few weeks ago, but I was waiting to post until I got framed pictures up on the walls, but now pictures are up and the room is never quite neat enough for me to take pictures, so I decided to finally post.  I hired a neighbor to be my interior designer, and she did an amazing job.  I am really happy with it.

Franz's mom and sister Marilyn came to visit, so we made a quick trip to Yellowstone

Getting ready for Old Faithful

Isabel was a little nervous about it.

Walking down the 328 steps to see the Lower Grand Canyon Falls.  Franz got an extra workout carrying Isabel back up.

We finally saw some buffalo!

Home life

Our life the past few weeks:

We were bored on a weekend night, and decided to go walk around downtown...

...and we came across "Craft Lake City", which was like an outdoor local Etsy market

The kids loved every minute of it, Isabel especially loved dancing to the Rockabilly band.

We had Sara and her sister Ava over to play one day.  It was actually kind of nice - each of my kids had a playmate.  It crossed my mind that maybe it would be easier to have twins.  Or not.  Definitely not.

Isabel still doesn't take regular naps.  Which means she gets tired and naps in random places.  Here she is on the new ottoman.

Elliot LOVES food.  And he is a garbage disposal - he doesn't stop!  Most meals he eats more than Isabel.  Here he is enjoying spaghetti and meatballs.

 Found the tissue box.

He can finally enjoy the children's museum.  Still loves water.

Buster came to visit, Elliot loved it, here he is receiving some dog kisses.

A pioneer adventure:  We were in the children's parade, and the little girls looked so cute pulling the handcart that they were on the news.

We love our cabin and always regret not spending enough time there. But in July we were able to make a couple trips, including a 4 night stay over the 24th.  I am still deciding if I liked the longer trip or not - it was quite a bit of time in a confined space with the kids.  I DO think that next time we will bring up family/friends to make it a little more entertaining.

One thing we love about the cabin is that there is no cell phone reception and no tv.  However, for the 4 day trip we brought up the laptop for some movie breaks to maintain the parents sanity.  When we got back my parents asked Isabel what her favorite part of the cabin was, and she said "watching movies".   Oh well, will have to work on that one.

We drove up to Mirror Lake, near Kamas/the cabin, and Isabel made it all the way hiking on her own.  It was a beautiful area.

We also went into Kamas for the rodeo.
